A pressed sandwich.....with fry sauce in it!  This is the second time we've been served fry sauce; so apparently it isn't just in Utah.

A sweetish cookie with what they call Queso Crema Tipo Americana, which I think means American-Style cream cheese; but to us, it tasted more like butter.

This is tamal asado (I think that's how you spell it) and it's like corn bread but way moister.  Mercedes makes a pan of it every morning and sells it (I'll post more about that in a bit).  It was very good and Dr. Spanos says it's a very Costa Rican food item.
