The Shower

I took me a bit to figure out how to work this shower and I still have no idea why they have that little hose on the side.  You only turn it a little bit to get warm water; if you turn it all the way to the left, you get cold water.  I did not enjoy my cold shower the first morning I was here.

I hope those electrical wires are OK......
