| Every Saturday, Mercedes walks about a mile to the farmer's market in Guadalupe to purchase vegetables. It just so happened our bus was picking us up about three blocks away from the market at a park so we walked with Mercedes so she could show us where the park is and we wouldn't get lost. The sidewalks are less than stellar here (if there even is a sidewalk) and it's very hilly so I'm very impressed that she walks both ways with this cart. I'm not sure how much heavier it is when it's filled with vegetables, but it seemed like a lot of work to pull it while it was empty. Have I mentioned that Mercedes is 70? You go girl! |
